In the days leading up to exams, the University Library is filled to the brim with students trying to cram a course’s worth of information into their brains. We have all been there, anxiously going through all of our notes the night before the exam, maybe even pulling an all-nighter. But is this really the best approach? Cognitive psychologist Maarten van der Velde argues there are smarter ways to pass your exam AND be able to remember the content down the line. Together with his colleagues, Van der Velde developed a computer program to help you cram smarter, not harder.
